Results of the 150th Anniversary of the April Uprising National Competition for Trademark (logo)

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the National Academy of Art have successfully held the joint national competition for creating a trademark (logo) under the motto "The Dream Bulgaria", dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising. The initiative was implemented on time and in strict compliance with the announced competition rules. 34 artists took part in the competition, presenting over 40 projects.

On 19 March 2026, the jury of experts reviewed the submitted projects and, after the final voting, announced the winner–Asst. Prof. Zhivka Hristoforova Raykova, teaching in the Department of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch. The artist, working in the field of graphic design, has created a number of well-established visual identities, including the trademark of the International Congress Center Burgas, Mladost Burgas Sports Hall, and others.

The competition projects were evaluated by a committee chaired by Prof. Georgi Iankov (Rector of the National Academy of Art) and members: Dimitar Stoyanovich (historian), Wiliam Kitanov (artist), Valentin Shtinkov (artist), and Assoc. The winning logo will be the official visual identity of the national celebrations. It will be integrated in the overall communication campaign – print and digital media, information materials and audio-visual productions. The logo will have a key presence in the media space, online platforms and social networks dedicated to the celebration of the historical anniversary of the April Uprising.
